lV " (BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH.) Christchurch, Mar. 6. /The customs collected at Lyttelton during ! February amounted to £21,436 9s. I There is an improvement in business. Teas 1 are slow of sale at prices ranging from Is 2d to Is 6d for old crop and Is 4d to 2s 6d for new. Sugars are quiet at late rates. Stout is in full supply and difficult to place. A line of Porter's bulldog has found biiyers at 11s 6d. In Bass's bulldog, sales are making at £9 5s to £9 15s. Spirits are quiet. Henncssy's brandy (bulk), •9s to 10s, and (case) 33s 6d to 34s 6d ; Martell's dark is scarce and commands 16s 6d. Diamond and Devoe's kerosene have been placed at Is 2d high, and test brands Is 8d to Is 9d, J.B. candles are without change, very little doing. Cornsacka have seen a steady business at Bs. Wool packs are unnoticed. Cement meets with steady support at 18s to 18s 6d. Galvanized ."iron and fencing wire show no improvement. ■ Quotations are merely nominal. A line of Halire's sardines has been placed at Bs. Currants, 4sd to 4£d ; figs, 7£d ; hops, Is 4£d.
