Passed Nuggets at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, got wind from the eastward on Wednesday, arriving atJßlufE at 7 p.m. The Maid of Otago brings 360. rails for the Waimea Railway Company, and will load timber for Dunedin. i . The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Arawata, Captain' Underwood, left the Sandridge Railway Pier at 3.15 p.m. on the 28th February, proceeded lo Port Phillip Heads/ and anchored there until the- arrival of the R.M.S.S. Assam. At 2 p.m. on the Ist March transhipped the New Zealand portion of the Suez mail, and sailed at 3.30; p.m. with 6o.6aloon, 90 steerage passengers, and 520 tons of cargo. She cleared Port Phillip Heads at 3.45 ;p.m., and passed Swan Island at 10 a.m. next day. Experienced strong easterly winds during the ran across ; sighted land at B.£o p.m. on the sth inst.. arriving at the Bluff wharf at 8:80 a.m. on the 6th.
