Macrorie with a further increase of one pound should tbe highest scorer head the scores of the disirict. Ihe firing began at s o'clock a.m. with the following result : — ' Corporal Booth ... ... ... 62 l'riva c raigie ... ... ... 61 Private Cuff 58 ■sergeant McChesney ... ... 58 The third prize was given to Private Cuff, as he scored more than McChesney afc fche long ranges. The firing for tho Company prizes, amounting fco £i. was nofc completed, as darkness set in, aud will be decided this evening at 6 p m.
