Gk P. Martin & Co report : — Fat Stock, both sheep and cattle, are in general demand, the supplies this season being unusually short. We sold half-bred wethers, medium quality, at 15s ; also a small mob at 3£d per lb, averaged on the farm. In fat cattle we have no transactions to report, bat hear of a mob of 125 head having changed hands privately at £8 per head. Store Sheep. — Sales are confined entirely to Bmall lots amongst the farmers, runholders not caring to sell until after shearing, when we anticipate a very brisk demand for all classes of young sheep. We have sold a small mob of half-bred ewes at 20s. Store Cattle. — This class of stock is in good enquiry, all descriptions meeting with a ready sale at greatly improved prices. During the month wo have sold 300 head of mixed cattle at £2 12s 6d, and 200 head of steers and spayed cows at £4 5s for steers, and £3 15s for cows. Station Property. — -We have sold, in conjunction with Messrs Driver, Stewart and Co, the Birchwood Station, Southland, 21,000 acres leasehold, about 4300 acres freehold, together with about 14,000 sheep and 250 head of cattle, to Mr Bridge, of Queenstown, for £17,750. G-eneral Sales. — We have sold section 21, block IT., Invercargill Hundred, containing 116 acres, with all improvements, for £410 ; and on the 16th inst., by auction, section 18, blook 111., town of Riverton, with dwelling house thereon, for £SGO.
