DUNEDItf. Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co. report for the week ending 11th July, 1874, aa follows :— . Fat Cattle.— The number that came forward being only moderate, prioes in consequence ruled s little higher. 56 head were yarded, chiefly middling quality. We sold 16 head at from £4 10s to £9. We quote prime quality 27s 6d per 1001 b; medium do, 18a to 20a. We alao aold privately, for forward delivery, 120 head at prices equal to 30s per 1001 b. Fat Calves. — We aold eight at from 37a 6d to 509 each. Fat Sheep —1000 were penned, a number quite equal to the demand. We Bold 400 merino wethers, good quality, at 12s to 12s 3d ; 200 half-breds, little better than stores, at from 10s 6d to lla. We also sold privately 350 merino wethers, delivered on run, at 8s ; and 500 halfbreds, for forward delivery, at 3|d per lb. We quote prime quality half-breda 3d to 3±d ; do merinos, 2sd. Store Cattle.— No transactions. Store Sheep* — Very little business is doing in this class of stock. We Bold 750 cross-brad lambs at 7a 6d ; 700 full-mouthed merino ewes at 5a 3d. We quote half-bred wethers, two and four-tooth, 9s to 10s ; do ewe a, 15s to 16s ; merino wethers, 6s to 6s 6d; do ewes, fullmouthed, 5s to 5s 6d. Horses.— The demand is good for heavy draughts, and strong coach or cab horses. Our Bales on Saturday were mainly confined to dealers' lots. We quote first-class draughts at from £65 to £75 ; medium do, £30 to £45 ; good hacks and light harness horses, £22 10s to £30 ; light and inferior, £4 to £8. Sheepskins. — At our weekly sale on Wednesday we disposed of a considerable number at the , following prices : — Butchers' green skins, merinos, 2s 7d to 2s lid ; croef -breds, 3s 5d to Ss 8d ; dry station skins Is Id to 8s lOd, according to quality. Hides.— We sold 118, at 15s for light weights, said 17s to 21s for medium to heavy. Grain. — The market remains unchanged, its chief characteristic being steadiness. Wheat— Good samples are worth 4s 6d to 4s 9d per ' biukel; prime Tuscan, 5«. Oats have a good inquiry, at 4s 2d to 4m 3d for feed, and 4a 4d por bushel for milling quality.
