COMMERCIAL.
DUNEDIN. Meiers Wright, Stephenaon, & Co. report, for the week ending July 12th, as follows : — Fat Cattle. — A scanty supply (40 head) caused prices to advance fully 2a per lOOlbs over last week's rateß. We quote good quality 25s to 26b per 1001 b; medium do, 21s. We bJbo sold privately 45 head for immediate delivery at 25s per 1001 b. Fat Sheepi— -But a small number came forward. The only lot penned consisted of 100 cross-bred wethers, good quality, which we sold at 17b each. We also Bold privately 200 merino wethers at 3d per lb. We quote prime halfbrede, 3^d per lb : do merinos, 2|d to 3d. well-grown cattle for paddock fattening. We qnote bullocks, 3 to 5 years old, £4j cowb, £3 • to £3 ss. Store Sheep. — Business is very limited in this class of stock, and we have no transactions to report. We quota cross-bred wethers, 12s to 13b i do lambs, 10s ; merino wethers, 7a 6d jdo eweß, in lamb to Leicester rams, 6s 6d to 7b. Horses. — There, is still a fair demand for draughts, and strong light harness horseß. Light and inferior animals are unsaleable. We quote first-class draughts, £50. t0 £55; medium do, £25 to £30 j good hacks and light harness horses, £20 to £25 ; medium do, £11 to £14 ; light and inferior, £3 to £6. Grain. — Wheat is in fair demand at 5s 3d to 5s 6J per bushel for well-conditioned samples. Oata are in better supply, and prices not quite bo firm. We quote good feed 4s 2d to 4s 3d, milling 4s 4d per bushel.
