DENMARK AND THE DUCHIES.
It is reported that a complete understanding has been arrived at between Prussia and Austria, that a three months armistice has been accepted, and that the Danish King agrees to cede the Duchies of Sehleswig-Holstein and Lauenberg, with the appertaining islands. The King of Denmark, in his speech to the Assembly, observed that, having been abandoned by all Europe, he was obliged to seek for peace with an " overpowering enemy." It was hard, he Baid, to have to make such sacrifice, but it wa9 still harder to prosecute the war. However, union between the King and people might bring about a happier future. The Press and the people are bitterly discontented with the terms of the peace.
