H. S. Grenfoll reports : — Our produce market hns been brisk of lute. Stocks of flour, which were bare, have been replenished by arrivals from Hobart Town, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, and Newcastle. This article has slightlvrcceded, but reports are favorable trora the colonies, and it is again likely to advance. Maize is somewhat easier. Seed potatoes in demand and realising L 10: stocks low. Soap and candles vary very little, but the supply is somewhat improved. Our timber market is very active. I quote — Flour, best brands, Ll6 10s to Ll7 per ton; bran L 9 10s to LlO ditto ; maize, 5s to os 3d per bushel ; oats, 7s 9d to Ss, little demand ; barley, 6s per bushel ; potatoes, seed, LlO per ton ; ditto, new, Lll ditto ; colonial soap, L3O to L3l, exclusive of boxes; candles, Cd per lb ; oaten hay, Ll2 10s, scarce; lucerne, Lll, fair supply; cedar, in logs, 18s per hundred feet ; pine ditto, 6s 6d to 7s ditto ; colonial wines, Cawarra and Dalewood, 31s for quarts' per dozen ; ditto, 17s for pints ditto. — Queensland Daily Guardian.
