THE WAKATIP MARKETS.

(Frjm Daily Times Correspondent.) Queenstown, 22nd Feb. — Business continues active, but tho source of supply being now diffused through several channels the market has been rather overdone than otherwise. The boats have been making good trips lately, and the increase of their number has remove! ail complaints about the difficulty of securing freights from the depot at the foot of the lake. The market, though well, is not heavily stocked. Freights have fallen, however, Ll2 to 1,5 per ton within tlie last ten days. Boats worth the other day 1.200 are now offering at lialf tlie figure. The steainer Xugget now plying on the lake, and the others known to be fitting up for the service, have produced a perceptible feeling. It is thought that with readier means of supply, many places on tlie Lake known to be auriferous will come into work, but on the other hand a doubt exists whether these can be worked in winter. While tbis uncertainty exists very few are inclined to etter "into heavy transactions, and the merits of Frankton aa a winter township is complicating the que-ition.
