H VENDERS will be received as under till A the 22nd day of December next from parties willing to run a Steamer every month, for a period of six months, or more if Hgreed on, from Melbourne direct to the port of Invercargill, carrying Her Majesty's mails. Tle steamer will bo bound to leave Melbourne within eighteen hours after the arrival of the English mail, and to make the above port of Invercargill the first of arrival aud departure - By order, H. HIS Honor the SuPiiRrNTENDENT direefs it to be notified that a Reward of One Thousand Pounds will be paid to any party who shall discover a paying goldfield within twelvemonths from the date hereof, conditionally upon the discoverer or di-coverers giving satisfactory prouf to the Government that Sixteen Thousand Ounces ot Gold, the bona fide produce of that particular field (being within the Province of Southland) shall have been realized and brought to Invercargill within twelve months from the date of discovery thereof.
