Patton, and _ Mesdamtes "'Jessie", Garrett, Mary H. Morrison, and." Matilda C. Parkin. North School.—Messrs A. W. Ander-; son, A. Bain, T. A. Hendry, A. Milne A. McKillop, A. Officer, G. S.~. Spowart, J. P. Scott, and R. B. Wright, Mr Milne was re-elected chairman, and Mr Scott secretary. St. George's School. —Mrs Pasley,Messrs S. McMillan, A. Cross, A. Patterson, W. Shepherd, J. S. Barnett, A. V. Hope, J. F. Aitken. Mr Ajitkeri was elected chairman, | and. Mr S. McMillan secretary and treasurer. At the meeting of the Middle School Mr M. -J. Forde introduced the question of free school books and stationery, and moved, that the Act providing for the same.at present on. the Statute Book be made operative, and that the Education Board, the School" Committee's Association, the Minister .of Education, and the Prime Minister be written to in the 'matter. The motion was seconded by Mr Grant, and supported by Messrs Jefcoate, Anderson, C. Griffiths, ner, Gdfford, and Crosby Smith, and carried unanimously. The question of Bible lessons in school hours was also introduced by Mr Forde, and after considerable discussion, the chairman stated that there was no need 'to fear a recurrence of the grounds for the complaint that had been made last year, and stated that the committee had , not been to blame in the matter.
