See. Messrs Herbert, Haynes and Co.'s advt. on page one of this issue'. They are offering spring washing prints at very low prices. One line, for instance, is printed muslin costumes at the low price of 9s lid. Messrs McKay Bros, publish their order of sales for to-day's markets. . Mr J. T. Gibson, opposite Mitchell and Co.'s sale yards, is offering special bargains in ironmongery, crockery, etc. See window display. Messrs J. A. Mitchell and Co. sell horses, station waggons, etc., to-day. Mr W. B. Scandrett has a fine little 5-acre block with house, garden, etc. for sale at Clifton, for £125. Messrs Lillicrap, McNaughton and Co., the "Esk st. bookmen, are now
booking orders for Xmas numbers of all iournals.
Mr J as. De Joux, the up-to-date Tay st. hairdresser, has, three chairs going, and recommends Craven Mixture tobacco for a cool smoke.
Mr T. Hide, stationer, Tay st., is now booking orders for Xmas journals, ' a list of which is given in advt. He also draws special attention to the new game of Pop-in-Taw, which is taking on like wildfire.
Messrs A. and T. Burt, Ltd.. insert a notice of removal. They intend to carry very much larger stocks, and cater in first-class style for the public.
Messrs Chas. Begg and Co. Ltd., insert a notice in reference to the Bechstein Pianos, which are to be found in the homes of Emperors, Kings, and Queens.

Farmers should place orders for Crescent turnip fertiliser and Sutton's turnip seed, with the National Mortgage and Agency Co. These give the best cesults obtainable.
Spring- cleaners will find a lot of new and secondhand furniture to beautify their homes with if they will call at C. J. Sutton's second-, hand furniture shop, .Spey st.
For an easy shave or fashionable hair cut do not forg-et to call on Hugh .Mason, Dee st. Three chairs are constantly going, and every attention is given to patrons.
The tram question has been settled just as Mr Keane predicted, and at thanks the residents for acting on his advice, and informs the public that when they are running, his chief talisman, "Kruger," threatens to have the shop open at 6 a.m. in the summer, so that early tram-catchers may take supplies of his choice tobaccos, cigars, cigarettes, etc., and cheap literature for reading. All the leading newspapers are sold, and quite a large business is done in' journals, etc. Just let .him know which book, paper, or magazine you want, and he will do the rest.

Messrs Rout and Stewart, land agents, Don st,, have money to lend at lowest rates of interest. -
All .men are not born great, but they are born barefooted. That being the case, they will find it to their advantage to drop into Holmes Bros' boot establishment in Tay st., Boots and shoes at lowest prices, and repairs with the best leather for next to nothing.
