GRESHAM—M‘GRUER.
A pretty wedding took place on Wednesday, 26th July, at Belleknowes, Elies Road, the residence of Mr J. D. McGraer, the contracting parties being Miss Mary MoGruer, the eldest daughter of Mr J. D. McGraer, and Mr F. W. Gresham The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a drees of crepe-de-chine over glace silk, and elaborately trimmed with sprays of lace. The bridesmaids were Miss Maggie and Alice McGraer, sisters of the bride, and Miss Rose Gresham, sister of the bridegroom. The bride was also attended by Miss Rita and Maggie McGraer, and her brother Master lan McGtuer. The bridegroom was attended by Dr John Gresham as best man, and Mr Armour as groomsman. After the ceremony, at which the Rev. G. Lindsay officiated, the party were photographed on the lawn, and then sat down to a sumptuous repast, at which various speeches were made, and toasts proposed and duly honoured. Several telegrams of congratulation were read from friends of the bride and bridegroom, including two from Sir Joseph Ward. The happy couple left for the North amidst many good wishes. The wedding gifts of the bride and bridegroom were both numerous and costly. In the evening Mr and Mrs McGruer entertained a number of friends at their residence, the house being beautifully illuminated by various coloured lights. During the evening songs were sung by Mrs Blue, Miss Mcßobie, Rev. A. Mitchell, Messrs J. E. Taylor, and Dick. The gathering broke up at 1.30 a m., one and all having thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
