FORESTRY.
At the summoned meeting of Court Queen of the South, held on Wednesday evening, 29th ult., the question of filling the office of surgeon, rendered vacant by the resignation of Dr Hogg, was considered. Letters, consenting to nomination, were read from a number of medical men. In view of the increasing membership it was decided to elect three. The ballot resulted in Dra Sale, Cantrell, and Fullarton being elected. The members, therefore, will have the privilege of choosing any one of the abovenamed, after the expiration of the present agreement with Dr Sale on Sept. 30th. The election of officers resulted as follows: P.0.R., Sister McNeil ; 0.R., Sister Baird; S.C.R., Sister Jones ; S.W., Sister Boyd ; J.W., Sister Boyce ; 5.8., Sister Keating ; J. 8., Sister Lambert ; Treasurer, Sister Cook ; Secretary, Bro. Chas. Mcßwen; Assistant secretary. Sister K. Boyd ; Auditors, Sisters McNeil, Oormack, and Varcoe. It was decided to present the retiring 0.8., Sister McNeil, with the usual certificate and neck ribbon in recognition of her services during her term of office.
