Tortured by Rheumatism Like a thief ia the alienee of the night influenza and common cold have carried many to the ailent grave. It is caused by a sudden check of perspiration by which the stomach is rendered inactive, and the lungs become loaded with corrupt matter which enters the blood, and disease is the result. Rheumatic fever and rheumatic pains are frequently traced to a cold contracted when the system was run down through indigestion and a disordered siomach. Mr John A. Phypers, of 173 Pitt-street, Redfern, Sydney, graphically describes his own experience along this line, and we cannot do better than use his own words, which are : —‘ Some years ago, while fishing on the Hawkesbury, I got very wet and had to sit in my clothes for hours ; the consequence was a frightful attack of influenza, which ended with rheumatic fever. I was under the doctors for months. I seemed to get better, but shortly afterwards I got back the old rheumatic pains, and from that time (about five years ago) I suffered more or less, the pain almost driving me mad. I tried everything; tried rubbing the affected parts with oil, and outward applications, but seemed to get worse and worse until I tried Dr Morse’s Indian Root Pills, and they speedily proved effectual. After taking one or two bottles the pains in my legs and back became less acute,, and ia a short time I was able to get about again. Beside® curing the rheumatism the pills improved my health generally, and I may say that I am practically cured altogether.’ Dr Morse’s Indian Root Pills are a perfect blood purifier, and are a positive cure for biliousness, indigestion, constipation, headaches, sallow complexion, liver and kidney troubles, piles, pimples, boils and blotches, and for female ailments. Put up in amber bottles, and the full name blown thereon.
