NOTES BY "MAGPIE.”
The Southland Mounted Rifles fired their final competition for Mr Campbell’s (of Limehilis) cup on Wednesday at Centre Bush range. There was a very strong wind blowing, which made shooting very difficult. However, some fair scores were registered, and after a very exciting finish Trooper S. Hunter won by one point. Following are the highest scores throughout the competition :
