Farming operations are progressing favourably in this locality. Ploughing has now been completed, and should fine weather continue sowing operations will be commenced immediately. Sawmilling has made great strides lately. We have three mills continually at work, and there are two more about to open. The bulk of the timber is trucked to Dunedin and further north. Mr Andrew McDonald has disposed of his Dunsdale farm, the purchaser being Mr Coster, of Forest Hill, The land is all highly cultivated and well drained. The price obtained was upwards of £6 per acre. Messrs Sutton Bros, have also purchased the estate of the late Jas. McMillan 7 at £2 ner acre.
