LETTER CARRIERS’ DELIVERY
Deliveries by Latter Carriers are made daily. Town delivery at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Suburban delivery at 9 a.m. MAILS WILL CLOSE AS FOLLOWS : Tuesday, 7th May.
For Natal and Cape Colony at 2.45 p.m. For tbe United Kingdom and the Continent of Europe (via Naples), India, China, Straits Settlements, Aden, Egypt, and the Australian Colonies, per S.S. Talune at 2.45 p.m. Parcels for Australian Colonies at 1.45 p.m. Money Orders and Registered Letters at 1.45 p.m. The English mail of this despatch will be due in London on 18th June. For the United States of America, Canada, West Indies, Central America, West Coast of South America, United Kingdom, and Continent of Europe, via San Francisco (due in London on 10th June), also Japan, Samoa, and Hawaiian Islands, at 8.15 p.m. Money Orders and Registered Letters at 2.15 p.m. Parcels for United States of America at 2. 15 p.m. New System. Combined collection and delivery boxes. For information apply at Chief Post Office, Note— From the Ist May extra mails will be despatched to Colac Bay and Orepuki on Mondays at 8.30 a-m., and will be received same day at 5.35 p m. From the same date the mail usually closing for Bluff at 8-45 a.m. will close at 8. 40 a.m. Note, Westralia has now agreed to accept printed papers at half-penny per two ounces. For Lord Howe, Norfolk, via Sandwich Islands, Solomon Islands and Santa Cruz and back, first May, and eyery two months thereafter.
