NIGHTCAPS

On Friday and Saturday, 26th and 27th April, we had a heavy fall of snow, rejoioing the hearts of the small boys, and big ones, too, for that matter, and causing a good deal of snowballing to be indulged in. The Oddfellows’ Lodge, under the guidance of energetic officers, is doing well, and adding to its numbers at almost every meeting. The Good Templars are also making good progress, and have got a supply of timber for a new hall. An extensive addition is being made to the schoolhouse, for which Mr Darcy is the contractor. The truck question is once more in evidence, and at the sidings all along the line stacks of grain are awaiting removal. The Coal Company continues to be kept pretty busy. About 250 truck loads were put out last week.
