CITY GUARDS.
The second competition for the Company’s Challenge Belt took place on Wednesday afternoon, when eleven members competed. The weather was very bright with a tricky head wind which seemed to baffle the majority of competitors. The conditions were 7 shots and 2 sighters at 500 and 600 yards. At 600 yards Sergt Walsh was top with. 31, but fell away badly at 600, only making 8, while Sergt. Wills made 30 at each range, thus finishing- with 60. Following are the chief score o -; —
