CROCHET FRINGE.
This can be made in white or colored crochet cottons, as well as wool or silk, with good effect, for edging curtains, bed hangings, antimacassars, shawls or dresses. It is worked the short way. On 6 chain work 5 double, turn, * 5 chain, on this 1 double, 2 treble, 3 treble, taking up both stitches, 4 chain, 1 single in last double, turn, 2 double, 2 chain, 6 doable (the 2 chain are for looping in the fringe), 3 double over the first 3 treble, repeat from *. Cut the fringe the desired length, and knot firmly into the 2 chain, then a little lower down knot again.
