BAZAAR AT THE BLUFF.

A bazaar in connection with St. Matthew’s Guild, to provide funds for building a church at the Bluff was held at the Drill Hall on Wednesday 1 ’ evening. The proceedings were opened by the Hon. J. G. Ward. A play entitled “ Bluebeard ” gave

general satisfaction. The leading parts were taken by Misses Hamilton, Macdonald, Messrs Walker, Taylor, and C. JNichol. A piece entitled “ Searching for the Fairies was given by several little children. The stalls and tea kiosk were presided over by the ladies of St. Matthew’s Guild. A grand march took place in fancy costumes, making a picturesque display.
