At Manchester a young man named Bellamy was charged with shooting a youth named Radford. Bellamy, who is a volunteer, took his rifle to the warehouse where he and Radford were employed. He commenced to play sentry and, taking a cartridge out of his pocket for a lark, put it in the rifle and pointed it at Bellamy and-pulled the trigger. The bullet went right through him, but did not fait a vital part. The magistrates remanded prisoner, saymg he ought to be flogged.
