GORE NOTES.
The Gore Hifl.es fired the fourth competition for the Hallenstien Cup and other prizes on their range on Wednesday last. The weather was bright with a nasty wind from the front which prevented anything like big scoring. The following are the principal scores :
The first three take range prizes. The best counting aggregates for the Cup are: —Privs. Brown 165, Graham 163, Johnson 158, Oapt. Boyne 152, Sergt. Shanks 149, Lieut. Domigan 148, Priv. Riordan 145, Lieut. Bowler 144, Priv. Brett 138.
The Bronze Medal and teams selection competition was fired at the same time, the 200 yards score in the Cup match being counted. The principal scores being:
The leading aggregates for the above are : Lieut. Domigan and Sergt. Shanks 143, Lieut. Bowler 132, Privs. Brown 123, Graham 122, Johnson 118, The next competition will be fired on December 21, after which a team will be selected to represent Gore in the competition for the Caledonian Cup in Invercargill on Boxing Day,
