INVERCARGILL STOCK SALES.

Sales of stock were held at the Junction yards on Tuesday by Messrs Tothill, Watson and Co., J. A. Mitchell and Co., the N Z. Loan Co., and Wright Stephenson and Co. Prices were— Fat Cattle—77 yarded. Best bullocks up to L 8 17s 6d ; medium, L 7 to L 6; cows and heifers trom L 3 17s 6d to L 7 10s. Fat Sheep—2ss6 yarded. Best wethers up to 16s Id for extra heavy; freezers, 13s to 14s 6d ; medium and light butchers’ sheep, 11s to 12s ; fat ewes up ta 14a 4d for an exceptional heavy lot; good, 10s 6d to 12s. Store Sheep—Slight decline on last sale’s rates. Store Cattle—Prices ruling rather better than last sales
