Dunedin, Oct. 5. Fat Cattle —Prime bullocks, L 8 to LlO ; four extra heavy, LII 17s 6d to Ll2 5s ; prime cows and heifers, L 6 to L 7 15s, Fat Sheep—Best wethers, 14s to 16s; good do, 12a 6d to 13s 9d; best ewes, 12s to 13s. Eabbitskins —An advance of about 2d per lb in London caused a little excitement, and at Monday’s sales catalogues were quickly cleared under keen competition. Grain- Wheat: There is iio change to report, and buyers are not prepared to go beyond 4s, but it is hard to tempt them even at that. Oats : Market has been a trifle easier, and shippers are not prepared to go beyond 2s Id. Potatoes—Supplies have fallen away a little, there is more inquiry, and prices have firmed on last week’s rates, best being worth L 6, with a little more for an odd lot of something very special. Chaff —The supply of prime is barely equal to the demand, and can be placed at L 3 12s 6d, good being worth L 3 7s 6d to L 3 10s. Medium is in over-supply and hard to sell.
