It is likely that Dreyfus will be released in view of the confession of wholesale forgery of documents made by Ester hazy. Meanwhile the furniture of Zola, the man who has brought about the new aspect of affairs, has been seized to meet the damages in the libel action brought against him.
Mr P. Mohr, now of Tiraaru, and formerly bandmaster of the Invercargill City band, will act as judge at the country bands’ contest in Riverton on 26th October. A better choice could scarcely be made, and all concerned are reported to be well satisfied.
