DON’TS.
Don’t borrow a wheel. Don’t lend your wheel. Don’t use bicycle slang. Don’t foreret your pump. Don’t ride too far at first. Don’t ride too high a gear. Don’t forget your matches. Don’t lean too far forward. Don’t pull your belt too tight. Don’t imagine you are a racer. Don’t forget your repair outfit. Don’t ride too soon after eating. Don’t turn too short in a wet road. Don’t let a puncture go unrepaired. Don’t keep in the middle of the road. Don’t drink much water on long rides. Don’t ride too close to your riding partner. Don’t go out after dark without your lamp. Don’t get tyres that cannot be easily repaired. Don’t try to ride like a man —if you’re a woman. Don’t forget that wet tyres puncture easier than dry.
