GREAT FIRE IN GORE. About two o’clock on Friday morning a fire broke out in Brewer & Trem bath’s horse bazaar, and rapidly spread to the adjacent buildings. The following is a list of the properties destroyed • Brewer, Trembath & Co.’s horsebazaar A. J. Gibbs, watchmaker. George Low, saddler. D. L. Poppelwell, solicitor. Messrs Dalgety & Co.’s Office. J. B- Neave, solicitor. James Blaikie, surveyor. Aitken & Broad, saddlers. John Jamie, watchmaker. D. B. Esther, chemist. G. F, Trew & Co.’s ironmonery depot. Charles Steans, tobacconist. G. D. Shaw, draper. E. G. Gresham, dentist. The late A. Fletcher’s office. W. Lattimore’s private residence. When first noticed the fire had a big hold of the bazaar, and nothing could be done to save the horses—eleven in number—in the building. The total loss is estimated at about £15,000.
