The markets are thus reported on for the week ended Bth iust.: — Fat Cattle Small entry. Best bullocks brought L 7 to L 8 5s ; one extra heavy, L 8 15s; medium bullocks, L 5 15s to L 6 17s 6d; others, L 4 to L 5 10s ; best cows, L 4 10s to L 5 I7s6d ; ordinary, L 3 to L 4 5s ; aged and inferior, L2 2s 6(i to L2 15s. Fat Sheep —Best crossbred wethers brought 13s 9d to 15s, one pen 16s ; medium wethers 12s 3d to 13s 6d ; others lls to I2s ; best crossbred ewes,, lls 6d to 12s 9d ; others, 8s 6d to 10s 9d; and medium wethers, to 9s 6d. Grain. Oats: Quotations; Seed lines 2s 2d to 2s 6d ; prime milling 2s Id to 2s 3d ; good to best feed, Is lid to 2s ; medium Is 9-J-d to Is 1 per bushel (sacks extra). Chaff—Well cut, heavy and bright parcels are inquired for, and other sorts comparatively neglected. Prime, L3loto L 3 15s; medium to good, L2 15s to L 3 5s ; straw chaff, 27s 6d per ton (bags extra). Potatoes —The only inquiry is for best northern Derwents, which are worth, say, L2 17s 6d ; southern do, L2 5s to L2 15s per ton (sacks in).
