(Br Roadster.) TRANSCONTINENTAL CYCLING. The tollowing telegraphip message has been received by the Dunlop Tyre Co., from Mather at Port Darwin : — ; 4 August 10th Arrived safely to-day. Coleman and self well,’ start training to-morrow, expect leave here Thursday. Had rough passage from Thursday Island. Heavy seas breaking aboard, swamped everything — prevailing winds dropped considerably.’ Mr Mather left Melbourne as representative for the Dunlop and Austral Companies to replace Greenwood, who was forced to abandon his trip from Port Darwin to Adelaide, on account of his catching the malarial fever, and had consequently to return to Melbourne. Mather is being accompanied ( by T. Coleman (representative of the Australian Cyclist) and both being good writers, some very interesting reading matter should be the result of this overland ride.
