A DOCTOR’S OPINION ON Jones’ Honey Pectoral A GENTLEMAN in Spey street had called the doctor in to see his infant child, and, having prescribed for it, this dialogue took place as he was leaving: — The Father—‘ Doctor, while you are about it you might as well write me a prescription, as well, as I have had a had cold for the last few days.’ Doctor —‘ Have you taken anything forit ?’ Father —‘ No, I was going to try JONES’ HONEY PECTORAL, which my wife keeps in the house for the children, but I would rather that you would write me a prescription.’ Doctor —‘Well, if you have JONES’ HONEY PECTORAL, take that, I cannot give you anything better.’ A LAYMAN'S OPINION. As nearly as I can remember “ My wife is troubled with something like Bronchitis: she has very bad attacks sometimes. The sjmptoms are a terrible cough and great difficulty in breathing. She was under treatment by a Dunedin Doctor, and we generally kept a bottle of her medicine in the house. One night, about midnight, she had an attack ;it was worse than usual. I went for her medicine, but the bottle was empty. Wbat to do I did not know. The cough was something frightful and she could scarcely breathe, and I really thought she was going to die. We kept your Honey Pectoral in the house for the children, and I found a bottle not opened. I gave her a dose thinking it could do her no harm anyhow. After a while she seemed easier ; I then gave her another dose, and in a little while she seemed considerably better. I continued giving the Honey Pectoral at intervals, and during the following day she got all right. This was something wonderful, because hitherto the attacks lasted longer, and used to weaken her so, that she was prostrate for days after. Its a grand medicine, Jones, GRAND.”
