To Sheep Farmers, Dealers and Exporters IN SOUTHLAND AND WALLACE DIST-RICTB. GENTLEMEN,— We desire to bring under your favourable notice our terms for dealing with Meakak our Oceaii Beach Branch. In order to meet the requirements of your District, we have decided to quote a rate for freezing (viz., Jd per lb, bag free), which will at once commend itself as putting you in the very best position should you desire to sell (after the meat is frozen) either F. 0.8., C.1.F., or to ship to your own agents in London. Should, however; you elect to leave- the sale of your meat in our hands, we will, under our Consolidated Bate, deal with your stock, from delivery at Works to rendering of account sales. The meat will be consigned to the Colonial Consignment and Distributing Co., Ltd. (who are our London Agents), for sale on your account. The above mentionecL Company has facilities and Branches for the distribution and sale of produce all over the United Kingdom, and their ability to do the “ possible best ” for each shipper is “ second to none.” We are prepared to guarantee shipment of all owners’ meat by the first steamer taking, mutton from Ocean Beach Works. Freezing— Mutton, Jd per lb Lamb, id per lb The above rates cover Killing, Freezing, Bagging, Railage from Works to Port, Wharfage, and Shipping Charges, and insurance from delivery at Works to “ on board ship.” Freight—At Current Rates. Mutton, Id per lb - Lamb, IJd per lb Nelson Bros. Ltd. buy the Clean Fat at cabled market price of Best Mutton Tallow in London each month, less LlO per ton (to cover loss in weight in rendering, and cost of rendering, cashing, shipping, and selling.) Nelson Bros. Ltd. retain the offal from all Sheep and Lambs. Nelson Bros. Ltd. will either buy the skins at a price to be mutually agreed upon, or the owner can take his skins away. Insurance from time the meat is on board ship must be provided by owner. Nelson Bros. Ltd. will buy the Rejections at following rates ; SHEEP— Fat Id per lb Blemished (but otherwise fit for freezing Jd per lb Lean Jd pef lb Very lean and badly blemished Nil LAMBS— Slightly blemished Id per lb Lean Jd per lb Very lean and badly blmshd Nil In the event of the above rates not being satisfactory to owner he may dispose of rejections in any manner he may desire either in local market or otherwise.
