i. MEETING, QF* MANAGEMENT ■ii COMMITTEE. ,j J The management committee of the j Horowhenua Cricket Association met on Wednesday evening. Present: Messrs S. Eimcox (chairman), T. | Fletcher and R. A. Eioan (secretary). | A letter was received from the Levin Cricket Club advising they were I withdrawing the' i> team from the ! competitions, owing, to lack of sup- | port. It was agreed at the meeting 3 last night that if this club could en.l ter a B team during the next fortj night or so, they would be allowed i to continue in the competition match- ; es. The Moutoa Cricket Club surnrnitted. a team to enter the competition, but the management committee resolved that, as it had already drawn up its fixtures for the season, and Paraparauinu, Otaki and Levin Clubs i had combined and would play as one association, it was considered ’ impossible to arrange any fixtures for Moutoa. In addition tn tliese consid- | erations, was the question of the long i distance some of the leani at the . southern end of the ' Association ;! would have to travel, so that the 'i committee regretted having to refuse ! ' the nomination.
