CONCERT AT MOUTOA.

On Wednesday night the Shannon Choral Society journeyed to Moutoa id give a concert in aid of the Hail Fund. It was a glorious night and a goodly number turned, out, including a number from Foxton. The* choir were responsible for five items, which were well rendered and much, appreciated by the audience. Their best item was the “Soldiers’ Chorus.’’ which had to be repeated. Mrs Barbel', of 'Moutoa, and Mr Aitken contributed solos, both neing encored. Most of the Shannon performers had to be recalled. Mr Aitken acted as stage manager and at the conclusion, of the programme he thanked theShannon Society for their kind assistance, which Mr Anurew suitably replied to. The choir was royally entertained at supper by the Moutoa friends. Dancing was indulged in, the Foxton orchestra supplying the music, and a very enjoyable limn was spent.
