ALBURY SCHOOL.

The annual school treat was held on foxing day and passed off successfully there being a very satisfactory gathering which all appeared to enjoy thoroughly. The prizes were highly appreciated by the sucessful contestants, being of a very useful class. A plentiful supply of tea, cake and good things generally hart been contributed by the good folk of the district, and were dune full justice to by ■ the many visiting friends as well as the juveniles. The one regretable feature of the whole day’s amusement was the absence of both the teacher and chairman of Committee, and consequent withholding of the school prizes for presentation to the children. In the evening a pleasant little dance was held in the school-room. Heavy rain fell during the earlier part of the day, but the afternoon was pleasantly fine.
