(’Ey Telegraph.) WELLINGTON, March 11. John Smith charged with attempting to pick a woman’s pocket at the Exhibition was acquitted, after an hour’s deliberation by the jury. Dibo Ido was convicted of obtaining a; bicycle by false pretences and afterwards selling it. Sentence was deferred pending a decision on a point'of law as to whether the Chattels Transfer Act applied to the case.
