The monthly meeting of the Harbour Board was held to-day. He preached in the church some time ago, and his discourse delighted the congregation. A special meeting of the Court Southern Cross was held last night in the Foresters’ Hall, Bro, C. G. Vogeler, Chief Ranger, presiding, and the attendance of members was large. Special business left over from quarter night was brought forward, and great interest was taken in the several discussions and elections. Bros. T. "W. Pratt, P.C.R., and M. J. Shepherd were elected auditors ; Bros. Burford, Bennett, and Osborne, P.C.R., as delegates to the Dispensary Board; and Bros. Vogeler, Bennett, Burd, Harris, Mcßride, McGowan, and Werry as the Hall Committee. The balance sheet showed £66 paid for sick pay, or just half the amount of the previous three months. The actual gain to the sick and funeral fund for the quarter is £57. Two candidates were proposed for membership, and one brother presented his clearance. The receipts for the quarter night and the adjourned meeting amounted to £l7O 68 lid.
