The Atkinson Divorce Case.

DUNEDIN, Nov 26.

The case Atkinson v. Atkinson, wife’s petition for judicial separation,was concluded about 11 to-night. 'I he jury replied to the issues as follows:—(1) Did William Atkinson commit adultery with 0 M, Mullaney prior to February, 1889 ? - Yes ; (2) did he subsequently ? -Yes; (3) has he been guilty of cruelty ?—No; (4) was adultery condoned P No; (5) did petitioner connive?-No. The verdict on the second issue was only threefourths of the jury. Mr Justice Williams certified to a special jury, the question of costs to stand over. The hearing of motions and to make the decree absolute was fixed for 17th December. The verdict is practically in favour of Mrs Atkinson.
