DUNEDIN, July 21.

In a letter written to Mr Stead to the D.J.0., Mr Stead says that he has made no charges of corruption against the club’s handicapper, particular stable and condone* ment by committee. The club think there are only two courses open and leave it for him to decide between them. Accompany* ing this letter ie a copy of one sent to Mr Dowse, handicapper, in which he is called upon {to resign. If he elects to bring an action against Mr Stead, the committee will allow the acceptance of his resignation to remain in abeyance pending the result of the action.
