According to a Home paper the imports* tion of grain bags into Southern Russia has been increasing enormously, and about 30,000,000 bags are said to have been ordered from Dundee and Amsterdam. The exemption from import duty granted by the ukase of the 29th July, 1887, to grain bags coming through the Black Sea and Azoff ports has been extended to ports on the Baltic, and-the exemption is to continue until the Ist January, 1890.
