DUNEDIN A. AND P. SHOW.
(By Telegraph.) DUNEDIN, Nov. 23. As only sheep and cattle were judged, and implements shown, there was notja very large attendance at the first day of the A. and P. Association’s show. The sheep were very good all round. In fine combing merino (not housed) Watson and Shannon t- ok the ram and ewe championship. In Leicesters (unhoused) J. McOrostic took both. A. Murdoch took the championship for ewes (unhoused), and Little Bros, for rams. In Lincolns, Marris took the ewe and ram ehampionsbu s for housed, and M. Holmes took both in unhoused. In Homney Marsh, J. Eeid took both, as did J, Borlon in Shropshire. In Southdowns, G. G. Russell took the championship for ram, and John Deans for ewe. The cattle were also a good lot. In .'Vyrshires, Howie’s Hercules, was the champion bull, and A. and J. MoFarlone’s Queen of the West, champion cow. A. and J. McFarlane were the largest prize-takers, and gained the oup with 26 points, Cowan being second with 23. In shorthorns, J. Deans, of Canterbury, took the £2O cup for largest prize-taker, and also the prize for champion cow. E. Menlove took the championship for bull. There was a large display of implements, but they are not yet judged.
