NEW DOCK.

(By Telegraph.) AUCKLAND, Nov. 23. An official test of the pumping machinery at the new Calliope Dock was made to-day by Mr Brrington, prior to its being passed, before a large number of leading utizens. The machinery worked with complete satisfaction, and the dock, which at the start, contained 40,000 tuns of water, was pumped dry in 4| hours. The contract was passed as baring been completed satisfactorily. In a short time the dock will be ready for use.
