News Not Received. Gbeymouth, June 7. Nothing is known here of any rich quartz specimens from Cedar Creek (Ross),as stated in yesterday’s telegrams from Ross. Novel Application for Divorce* Wellington, June 7. In the Divorce Court to-day, Jane Mary Stanislaus O’Kearne petitioned in a suit for a decree of nullity of her marriage with James Grattan Grey, reporter,., of Wellington. The alleged grounds are physical malformation. Mr Shaw is counsel for the petitioner, and the case will be heard at next sittings of the Divorce Court, Child Burned to DeathDunedin, June 7. The Infant child of Mrs Stirling, Sou th Dunedin, was severly burned while being nursed on Wednesday evening. The child died yesterday. The matter was not reported to the doctor in the meantime.
