Mr Mitchelson arrived by the Takapuna at 1 o’clock, and will be sworn in before the Governor at 3 o’clock, and immediately takes the portfolio of Public Works. Mr Johnston has resigned that portfolio, but remains in the Executive Council without portfolio. Death of a Wesleyan MinisterThe Rev James Henry Luke, a wellknown Wesleyan Minister, died here laat night. Appointment PostponedThe decision on the applications for Town Clerk, City Engineer, and Assistant Engineer, has been postponed for a week. Death of a School-Inspector-Cheistchuech, Nov. 23, The Eev J. Cummings, Inspector of Schools, died this morning.
