It is believed that the dynamite which has been seized in possession of the several persons recently arrested, was intended for a widespread explosion in London. Manufacturing DynamiteThe search which has been made of Whitehead’s factory, at Birmingham, which was seized on the sth instant, has disclosed material for the wholesale manufacture of nitro-glycerine. , Increasing Garrison. In consequence of the recent dis. o overies at Birmingham, a detachment of troops, has been sent to augment the force how garrisoned there. Casey and Flanagan who were arrested at Liverpool on March 31, charged with illegally landing explosives from Cork, have been farther examined, and committed for trial. Obituary. Intelligence is to hand from Dantzig that the river Vistula has overflowed its banks and caused serious inundations in the city : and surroundings. < Hundreds of persons have been driven from their homes and much havoc has been caused. Xpo Houses Burned. Berne, Aprils. A terrible fire occurred to-day at Nallorhe in the Canton of Evaud (Switzerland).
