Martin’s Mischief 1 Captain Russell’s Leonora 2 Mr P, Butler’s Luna 3 i Eight others started. This was the race of the day. All came well into the straight, Mischief taking the lead from Leonora and eventually winnning by about threequarters of a length. Time —3tnin 15sec. Nursery Plate of 100 sovs, for two-year-olds ; £ mile. Mr A, McLean’s Epicure 1 Mr M. Smith’s Rubina 2 Mr Douglas’Jacob ... 8 This was won after a struggle with Rubina. Lord of the Isles also started. Time—s3£sec. Railway Handicap of 125 sovs'; threequarters of a mile. ~* Mr G. Bates’ Minerva 1 Mr P, Butler’s Luna ... ... 2 Mr J, H. Pollock’s Hippodamia ... 3 Three others started. Time—lmin 20sec.

The following is a continuation of yesterday’s races Time Trotting Handicap, of 40 sovs. Counsellor (45sec) ... ... ... 1 Randall (ssec) 2 Cock Robin (ssec) 3 Hack Race of 20 sovs. Horatio 1 Autumn Handicap of 60 sovs. Tasman, Bst 61b 1 Marchioness Neil, 6st 61b 2 Envy filly, 7st 121 b 3 This was a good race between the first and second horses. Marchioness Neil made all the running until the straight was reached, when Tasman was brought up and won a good race with something to spare. Envy filly was some distance in the rear. The Hurry Scurry was won by Horatio.
