Jules Joubert has addressed a gushing letter to Mr Quill, who purchased the tight to cater in the Exhibition building. “I,‘hope and trust the venture has paid you,” says the genial Joubert. What says mine host on that score?
The“ Fancy Fayre ” people not having paid their gas bill, the supply to the drillshed at Christchurch has been cut off. There seems to be some mystery about the affair, and a portion of the Volunteers have called for a Court of enquiry into the reason why the trustees of the hall who guaranteed the Gas Company have not paid the amount,
