[Reuter's Agency.] CollisionSydney, June 13. The Marine Board has held an enquiry into the recent collision between the steamers Fairlight and Osprey, and has found that the former was at fanlt. The certificate of the captain of the Fairlight has been suspended for one month. The wreck of the Osprey has been sold for £6OO. Miners’ Strike. Negotiations hare been resumed at Newcastle with a view to a termination of-the miners’ strikes, Falfffe AlarmThe report of the death of Hanlan was quite unfounded. ; • Electricity. An exhibition of electric appliances has been opened hero. The opening ceremony was performed by the Governor. Political--Melbourne, June 14. It is stated that the Government intend to modify the scheme for adjusting taxation which was announced by Sir Bryan O’Loghlen in his Financial Statement. Nothing, however, is definitely known with regard to the measures which the Government propose to bring down.
