MR SHEEHAN CONTRADICTS THE STATEMENT OF HIRORKI THE MURDERER.

[By Telegraph.J Wellington, June 9. Mr Sheehan states that the assertion of Hiroki in his confession, as published in to-day| papers, to the effect that he had warned Major Brown and Mr Sheehan not to put men upon the Motnohake Block is absolutely untrue, and that he never saw Hiroki until after the murder. When Hiroki was a fugitive at Parihaka, Mr held several large meetings with the Native owners of Blocks at the settlement in the vicinity, and the only points raised by Natives were a claim against the survey party for a sum of money, fop alleged improper conduct, and the question of area and position of reserves, both of which questions were disposed of before the land was sold.
